Until Tomorrow
by Jim Tyrrell

They're sweeping the doorway
They're putting up chairs
The bartender's giving us
An impatient stare
The lights have come on
The clock has run down
It's time to be on
Once we finish this round

We'd probably stay here
If you gave us the chance
A lifetime to play here
The drink and the dance
But finish your glasses
And gather your things
Until tomorrow
And the good times it brings

The liquor commissioner
Says the party must end
If we ever want to
Come back here again
So up from the tables
And out of the door
Like we did yesterday
And each day before

We'd probably stay here
If you gave us the chance
a lifetime to play here
The drink and the dance
But finish your glasses
And take leave of your friends
Until tomorrow
When I see you again

Until tomorrow
When I see you again.
